Our travels were made special by the people we met along the way.
MUNICH
What could bring people together more than tankards of Helles Lager, the finesest of pretzels, and an Oompah belting out the greatest 80s hits with Deutsches flair; our Oktoberfest experience was made complete by sitting across the Marstal tent from Poppy and Kevin from northern Virginia. We shared many beers and many songs and we truly hope to share a beer with them again.
PRAGUE
Spoiler alert: Georgian food is THE BEST. We immediately started searching for flights to Georgia based not only on the deliciousness of Baraqa Georgian Cuisine, but because our waiter was so very heartfelt and kind. Bread, cheese of ungodly proportions, and the richest spices of the Silk Road left us in a pleasure coma so deep that we didn’t even manage to sap a photo or two of our meal.
KRAKOW
In Krakow we met two special people – Marta and Krystyna. Marta, who can be found via both Airbnb experiences, and eat-away, welcomed into her home and passed on the secrets most bobchas will take to their graves. Perfect peirogi, a sublime borsch, and caramel smothered cheese cake were the rewards of our labors, under her watchful eye.
Krystyna, a fifth generation Krakowianin, masterfully captured the day we celebrated our marriage with the exchange of our vows. Beyond being simple photographer, Krystyna captured the very essence of our feelings for one another, freezing in time forever candid moments in the most beautiful spots in a city of a million beautiful locations. http://www.kolowca.com, Instragram @k.kolowca
